What are Metal Braces?

Metal braces are the most widely used type of braces. They are made of 3 parts, metal wire, brackets and elastics to connect the two. The brackets are made from a special alloy of stainless steel and are attached to teeth with the help of a special gum. Then the wire is attached to the brackets with the help of elastics. At Embrace, you can choose your own set of colours for these elastics. It's the wire that applies the pressure on the teeth to move them into their ideal position. Each tooth has a specific size and shape. We at Embrace, we design each bracket as per it's a tooth, in exact proportions. To start with, the wire is thinner and as the treatment proceeds, the wire is tightened to encourage the movement of teeth to their ideal position.
